Miranda has spent the majority of her career working in public child and youth mental health clinical services. Her clinical interests are working with young people in out of home care, trauma, perinatal mental health and gentle parenting. She has held clinical, senior clinical, leadership, and chief social worker roles in the public mental health system. Miranda is experienced in teaching and training and has taught in the Bachelor of Community Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs course as well as continuing to hold a clinical educator role in one of Victoria's leading public mental health services.

Miranda is passionate about providing (and supporting other practitioners to provide) support to children, youth and families that encourages emotional connection, respect, empathy and is empowering for themselves and the important people in their life. These relational values are at the centre of her practice. This has lead to her interest in gentle parenting and providing mental health care where the person seeking support is at the centre of their own care and seen as an expert in their own mental health.
